A small uninhabited island, white sand and shallow water.
Lihaga is uninhabited. No warungs, no lodgings — and that is precisely why people come: clean white sand and water that stays shallow a long way out, which suits anyone who wants to be in the sea without being a strong swimmer. Snorkelling happens along the island’s edge, not out in open water.
The island is reached from Serei pier in Likupang, roughly two hours north of Manado by road, then a boat crossing. Since nothing is sold on the island, everything comes from the mainland — boxed meals, drinking water, beach umbrellas, bean bags. The only thing you need to decide is whether you make your own way to Serei pier or are collected from Manado.
